LAAC Male Carers Support Group

Research shows that fathers feel isolated in their caring role and that a lack of support compounds their stresses.

Parenting Special Children has set up a new support group for male carers (Adoptive Parents, Foster Carers and Kinship Carers) who are parenting/caring for children who have experienced developmental trauma.

Aims of the Support Group:

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment to share experiences and explore the unique challenges faced by parents/carers of LAAC
  • Establish support/social networks for parents/carers
