Parenting Special Children has set up a support group for adoptive mothers of children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma.
Research shows that Adopters, especially adoptive mums, face unique challenges in their parenting that are often not understood by well-meaning family and friends.
Aims of the Support Group:
- Provide a safe and supportive environment to share experiences and explore the unique challenges faced by Adoptive Mums
- Establish support/social networks for Adoptive Mums
If you would like to be involved in this group, and contribute to ideas on how this can be a safe supportive space for sharing experiences and gaining support from each other, please call Zobia Kalim on 07557 102623 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
