A series of three linked workshops for parent/carers of children and young people who are waiting for an assessment for ADHD, or who have recently been diagnosed with ADHD.

Berkshire West

Pre and Post Assessment Workshops: ADHD (3 linked workshops) – For those registered with a Berkshire West NHS GP surgery (Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham). Funded by the Berkshire West Autism and ADHD Support Service in partnership with Autism Berkshire.

Berkshire East

Pre and Post Assessment Workshops: ADHD (3 linked workshops) – For those registered with a Berkshire East NHS GP surgery (Bracknell Forest, Slough, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead). Funded by the Berkshire East NHS CCG area Autism and ADHD provider GEMS4Health.

Topics covered include:

Introduction to ADHD: What is ADHD?, Challenges & Concerns, Strengths and Opportunities, Signposting to Support.

Anxiety and ADHD: What is Anxiety?, What is the relationship between ADHD and Anxiety, Coping Strategies for children/young people and parents/carers.

Managing ADHD Behaviours: Attention Deficit Behaviours, Hyperactive Behaviours, Impulsive Behaviours, Behaviour Management Strategies.

We also run a Sensory Processing Workshop and a Dual Diagnosis Workshop which might be of interest.

 

Please note: These workshops are only suitable for Parents/Carers. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare, or accommodate children.

Covid Precautions: Please do not attend if you are unwell.

  • COST Free. Parents/carers must be registered with a Berkshire NHS GP surgery in order to attend
  • DURATION 1.5 hours, online via Zoom
  • DELIVERED BY PSC specialist ADHD Practitioners
  • FREQUENCY This series of workshops is typically delivered once per month in each CCG (NHS) area
