Pre- and Post-Assessment Workshops – Autism

A series of three linked pre- and post-assessment workshops for parent/carers of children and young people who are waiting for an assessment for Autism, or who have recently been diagnosed with Autism.

For those registered with a Berkshire East NHS GP surgery (Bracknell Forest, Slough, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead). Funded by the Berkshire East NHS CCG area Autism and ADHD provider GEMS4Health.

Topics covered include:

Introduction to Autism: What is Autism?, Sensory differences, Assessment overview.

Anxiety and Autism: What is anxiety?, Knowing when my child is anxious, Supporting my child.

Behaviour and Autism: Behaviour detective, Strategies, Signposting and support.

Under 5’s: a workshop series for parents/carers of children under the age of 5.

We also run a Sensory Processing Workshop and a Dual Diagnosis Workshop which might be of interest.

Please note: These workshops are only suitable for Parents/Carers. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare, or accommodate children. Covid Precautions: Please do not attend if you are unwell.

  • COST Free. Parents/carers must be registered with a Berkshire East NHS GP surgery in order to attend
  • DURATION 1.5 - 2 hours, online via Zoom
  • DELIVERED BY One of our specialist Autism Practitioners
  • FREQUENCY This workshop series is typically delivered once per month, in the Berkshire East NHS area (Bracknell, Ascot, Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead).
