A new 6 week course in 2021 to support young people who are awaiting an assessment for Autism or ADHD or have already received a diagnosis.
The course is for young people in mainstream education aged 11-16 (school years 7-11) who either already have a diagnosis of Autism and/or ADHD or are on the Berkshire CAMHS waiting list for assessment.
To develop the confidence and emotional well being of young people through meeting regularly with peers and exploring the social world together. The course will focus on issues including knowing ourselves, friendships, self-esteem, independence and self advocacy.
This programme has been made possible due to funding from Berkshire West NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which serves Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and is provided as part of the Berkshire West Autism and ADHD Service in partnership with Autism Berkshire.
Therefore, only children who are registered with a GP surgery that is part of the Berkshire West NHS CCG will be able to access this course. To check your surgery please click here.

Online Mondays after-school 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Initial Meet and Greet Session Monday 8th February and then weekly for 6 weeks;

Cost: No charge as the course is funded by West Berkshire NHS CCG. Resources for the sessions will be sent to children at no additional cost (Resources are funded by Children in Need).

Only applications received by the 25th January 2021 will be considered for the first series of workshops. We are anticipating a high demand for this service. If we are oversubscribed for the February/March sessions, we will operate a waiting list for future Social Interaction Skills Group courses.
