Attachment-focused Re-Parenting Course for Birth Parents/Families – Zoom
This 7 week course is aimed at birth parents/families of children affected by trauma through adverse childhood experiences like domestic violence, family break-up, bereavement, parental mental health issues and/or substance misuse. It has attachment theory underpinning all modules.
The course runs on Friday mornings between 10am and 12pm on the following dates: 21st and 28th May, (no session 4th June), 11th, 18th and 25th June, 2nd and 9th July.
Topics covered include:
- Impact of trauma in early childhood
- Symptom overlap with Autism/ADHD/Sensory Processing
- Attachment Theory and Internal Working Models
- Managing Stress
- Understanding & managing behaviour
- Life story work
- Working effectively with schools
- Managing the Stress of Caring

The usual cost of this course is £250. Thanks to funding by the National Lottery Community Fund it is available at a massively reduced cost. It will be facilitated by PSC specialist parenting practitioners Zobia Kalim and Nuala Hemphill.
