Attachment-focused Re-Parenting Course for Birth Parents/Families – Zoom
This 5 week course is aimed at birth parents/families of children affected by trauma through adverse childhood experiences like domestic violence, family break-up, bereavement, parental mental health issues and/or substance misuse. It has attachment theory underpinning all modules.
This course runs on Thursday mornings between 9.30am and 12pm on the following dates: 25th February, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th March.
Topics covered include:
- Impact of trauma
- Symptom overlap with ASD/ADHD
- Building blocks of Attachment
- Therapeutic Parenting
- Understanding & managing behaviour
- Life story work
- Secondary trauma to carers
Cost: £50 per person.
This course is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and will be facilitated by PSC specialist parenting practitioners Zobia Kalim and Nuala Hemphill.
