Kinship Carers Support Group – Zoom
A support group for family members who are caring for children who cannot be cared for by their birth parents (e.g. Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, Family Friends).
We have set up this group for kinship carers who are parenting/caring for children who have experienced developmental trauma. This group will provide a safe supportive space to share experiences and gain support with the unique challenges faced by kinship carers.
Date: Wednesday 5th May
Time: 11am – 12.30pm
Cost: Free for Kinship Carers
(Subject to Government guidelines and venue availability we will run this event face-to-face if at all possible. This will be from 11am to 12.30pm. Further information will be provided to those booked if this is going to happen).
If you haven’t attended a Zoom online event before you may find this information helpful. The events are best viewed on a PC or laptop. Please have the latest version of Zoom installed. You can download the software here.
Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund this event is free to kinship carers. It will be lead by a PSC TAS Specialist Parenting Practitioner and a PSC Peer Supporter. Other areas of PSC work receive no funding at all, for example our Helpline, so we are always grateful for any donations however large or small.
