Parent/Carers Workshop: Managing the Stress of Caring – Beliefs (2 of 3)

PSC is offering a series of 3 linked workshops for all Berkshire Parent/Carers of children and young people with additional needs.

Research shows that parents and carers of children with special needs often experience chronic stress leading to physical, emotional as well as mental health problems, social isolation and reduced capacity for caring over time.

This isolation can be greater for parents and carers of children with additional needs as it is often coupled with financial pressures and general lack of understanding and support.

Workshop 2: Understanding how our beliefs can affect our stress levels

Date: Monday 18th November 2019

Time: 12.45pm – 2.45pm (refreshments provided)

Cost: £5

Please click here to book.

We recommend that parent/carers attend all three workshops.

Workshop 1: Strategies for self-care: 11th November 2019.

Workshop 3: Managing our emotions to reduce anxiety: 9th December 2019.

This workshop was funded by The Earley Charity and will be facilitated by a PSC specialist parenting practitioner. Other areas of PSC work receive no funding at all, for example our Helpline, so we are always grateful for any donations however large or small.

A creche is available for this event but must be pre-booked. Please contact charlie@parentingspecialchildren.co.uk

Please note that we require 7 days notice of cancellation to offer a refund.
